The venue of the conference, the Dutch natural history museum ‘Naturalis’ is appropriate. Natural history museums play a 
special role in living with biodiversity. Both the front-stage of the museum, the part that can be visited, and the back-stage, where biodiversity research takes place and collections are managed, involve the public in various different ways.
The symposium is held in the museum’s auditorium.
Naturalis is located near the train station of Leiden (about 10 minutes walk, see red dotted line on the map below). The Leiden train station is well connected to Schiphol airport (20 minutes by train) and other major train stations in the Netherlands.
